La colección se centra en invitar artistas visuales para que desarrollen un proyecto editorial específico, donde la obra suceda dentro del formato del libro digital, donde ese archivo descargable se vuelva en sí mismo el reflejo de sus pensamientos, creaciones e investigaciones estéticas. Hilo trata de generar otras aproximaciones a proyectos editoriales dentro del arte contemporáneo.

La propuesta se basa en la idea de la página simple y reflexiona sobre el uso del soporte digital resultando una secuencia hilvanada de imágenes y contenidos que hacen que el libro o el residuo de la experiencia del libro cobre valor y sentido.

Hilo is in response to an initiative by the Malaletra publishing house that, inspired bydigital publishing, seeks to create a collection of contemporary art books with distribution capacity in any place or device with access to the web.

The collection is based on inviting visual artists to develop a specific publishing project where the work exists within the digital book format, where the downloadable file becomes the reflection of aesthetic thoughts, creations and research. Hilo intends to generate other approaches to contemporary art publishing projects.

The proposal is based on the idea of the simple page and reflects upon the use of digital support resulting in a linked sequence of images and contents that give value and meaning to book or what is taken from the experience of the book.
